Process

Since several years I am designing products for the Berendsohn AG from the first idea to industrial production. The process of designing a product from inspiration to the final draft is structured in several steps that remain invisible most of the time. Each step is characterized by the tools that are used and each tool has a certain quality and contribution to the process. The sequence of steps and tools are altered individually for the projects, to best fit the requirements. An illustrative example is Leaf which are stackable salad servers made from deep drawn stainless steel. From the first sketches I approached the final design with paper and 3D models.
